Summary: Wolf Dillard lives alone on the edge of town. One night he is awakened by a blood-curdling scream. Someone or something is out there in the night, and it's something that knows Wolf all too well.
The past has a way of catching up with everyone. For Wolf, what he and his cousin Farrel did five years ago in the national forest has come home to him, and with a vengeance.
This is one of those books that teach you a lesson - never EVER mess with someone, especially someone who lives alone in a national forest. They aren't kidding when they say that the past comes back to haunt you.
What is cool about this story is that I grew up near this place and even went on Girl Scout trips to the park. Talk about weird. I will never be able to look at it the same again.
