Summary: Adventure-filled story about uppity young Honey Bee who encounters a number of bullies – Sly Dragonfly, Slick Lizard, Huge Spider, and five horrid Hornets – and one true friend – King Frog – on her journey to Wilderness Pond.
The storyline teaches children some valuable life lessons and is a great tool to use in classrooms. The message is easy for young children to understand, but sophisticated enough for an older reader to appreciate.

This is a beautiful book – great looking art, amazing colors – and there is a lesson to be learned in this book, but the book description fails to mention how rude this little bee was and that, despite that, King Frog still protects her. Had she been a nicer bee, maybe I would have felt bad for her that she was being "bullied" by these other characters, but to be honest, it didn't really come across as her being bullied, but more people reacting to her attitude. When we discussed the book after reading it, the kids wanted to know why the little bee was mean to the big frog.
