Halloween Blues?
Have the Halloween blues?  Just not into it this year?  I've had a year or two that went that way and, of course, I fought to get the spirit back.
So, usually I love this time of year.  The leaves are changing and everything looks gorgeous.  There's a brisk smell to the air and I'm not sweating when I sit anymore.  I'm definitely a Fall/Spring person.
The other great part of this season is Halloween.  Now, I will admit, that though I love the holiday, there have been years where I was just not feeling it.  So I've made a To-Do list and chose the number seven because it's considered bad luck.  It just seemed fitting.

Kids shows
Hocus PocusThe Nightmare Before Christmas and any other kids' program related to Halloween.
Start off with what you've watched as a kid.
There was a Munsters rerun when I was young and I watched it religiously after school.  I have all the seasons and it works like a charm.

I don't suggest trying all of the cool crap that you'll find, as there might be a big disappointment, but if you see something you think you can take on, give it a go!  A creepy project, go, go, go!

Scary Books
There are so many frightening writers out there.  Pick one with a good pitch and hide under the covers with it!  If you're not a reader, go audio book and listen on your spooky commute to work.  :D

Graduate to a scary movie.  Make it dark, add popcorn and good friends or pets.  Be sure to light candles for added effect.  I suggest any classic horrors, personally.  Some of the new stuff gets a little away from suspense and leans toward gore, so to each their own.  Find out what you like if you're not sure!  I've had a few FB statuses pleading for movies or shows and I've gotten some great suggestions.

Scary Music
Fill the house with creepy classical or a playlist that will obviously involve Thriller and something by Alice Cooper.

Scare a co-worker, friend or family.  Unless a pacemaker is involved, it's a lot of fun.  I'm a terrible prankster, but I love hearing stories about them.  I have some clever acquaintances and friends, though.  My husband, for example, left a fully dressed CPR dummy in his boss's desk chair and left it overnight so he'd turn on the lights at the wee hours and be startled by a person sitting there.

It doesn't have to be a lot, or expensive.  I raid the dollar store to this day.  Though, now, most of my family does this for me and show up baring ghoulish gifts while saying, "I thought of you."  And these people have a good eye!
